The Keizer stadium will host public skating from Oct. 2 through New Year’s Eve, with most sessions priced at $10 including skate rental.
Baseball season is over at Roto-Rooter Park, but the Keizer stadium is not going quiet.
Beginning Oct. 2, the home of the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes will add a seasonal roller-skating rink that will operate through Dec. 31, giving the ballpark another use during the fall and holiday months.
Skateland 2 You will bring its mobile rink, skating equipment and staff to the stadium. The operator lists the Keizer location at 6700 Field of Dreams Way and confirms the nearly three-month run on its public skating calendar.
For most sessions, admission will be $10 per person and include skate rental, according to the Volcanoes’ announcement. Attendance will be limited by session, and tickets are already on sale.
The rink represents a different kind of draw for a venue primarily associated with summer baseball. The Mavericks League wrapped up its 2026 season at Roto-Rooter Park with championship games Aug. 28 through Aug. 30.
Rather than opening only for occasional events, the rink is scheduled to operate five days a week.
Wednesdays will begin with an all-ages session from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., followed by an adults-only skate from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. Thursdays will feature a “Worship On Wheelz” session from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Two sessions are scheduled on Fridays, while Saturdays will have five skating windows beginning at 10 a.m. Sundays will offer three sessions between 1 and 8 p.m.
The schedule gives families daytime and early-evening options while also creating later sessions aimed at adults. Organizers said the season will include themed skating, group opportunities and private events in addition to regular public sessions.
The rink is part of a broader effort to keep Roto-Rooter Park active beyond baseball. The stadium has increasingly hosted other entertainment, including the Glow Christmas light festival, which is also scheduled to return to Roto-Rooter Park this holiday season.
For Skateland 2 You, the Keizer stop expands a mobile operation that also lists public skating events in Albany and Corvallis.
The season is scheduled to end Dec. 31 with a special New Year’s Eve skate.
Tickets can be purchased in advance through the Skateland 2 You Salem-Keizer event listing and the Mavericks League ticketing system. Because individual sessions have limited capacity, organizers are encouraging guests to select their date and skating time when purchasing.
